Re: Page Load Error in Mozilla Firefox

Thanks for your answer. That means the O17 listings in the HJT log are just fine.
Run HJT again and place a check mark next to the following entries if they still remain;

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = about:blank
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-CCB0-B130EEDBE97C} - (no file)
O23 - Service: McAfee McShield (McShield) - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\McAfee\VirusScan Enterprise\Mcshield.exe (file missing)
O23 - Service: McAfee Task Manager (McTaskManager) - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\McAfee\VirusScan Enterprise\VsTskMgr.exe (file missing)

Once you have placed the check marks then click the Fix Checked button. Exit HJT.

Now before we work on Firefox, you need to update your Java program which is out of date. Go HERE download the Offline Install of the new version 6 update 10. Save it to the desktop.
Close your browser. Go to Add/Remove and Uninstall ALL old versions of Java that you find there. Once all are uninstalled then click that java install icon on the desktop to install the newest version. Follow the prompts. Once the install is complete go back to that link I gave you above and on the right side of that page you will see Verify Now. Click there to verify the installation of the newest version was successful.

Reboot the computer. Try Firefox again and see what happens. If you still have the same problem then try these fixes given on the Mozilla website first and see if it makes a difference:

1. Open Firefox. Go to Tools, Clear Private Data and then put check marks in Cookies and Cache. Press the Clear Private Data Now button.
Close Firefox. Re-open. See if that made a difference. If not then continue on with this suggestion:
1. Type about:config in the Location Bar of Firefox
2. Press Enter (you may get a warning that this will void your warranty. Just click the "I'll Be Careful, I promise" button
3. Find the preference name network.http.sendRefererHeader (this is quite a ways down the alphabetical list but it is there.
4. Double click on it. A dialog will appear.
5. Enter 2 into the dialog.
6. Press OK.
If neither of these work then report back and we can try something else.

Re: Page Load Error in Mozilla Firefox

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I tried all the above suggestions and none made the firefox work properly. I see no change.

Please suggest me some other solutions.

Re: Page Load Error in Mozilla Firefox

I had this exact same problem. Try opening internet explorer and going to tools then internet options then go to connections click on Lan settings make sure USE A PROXY SERVER FOR YOUR LAN is NOT selected. That fixed it for me... Also try the same thing in firefox as my problem was with internet explorer and google chrome not firefox. Let me know if that helped!
