Can you pls do the following:

1. - Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware ( http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button ) to your desktop.

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure to checkmark the Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
* Post the log back here.

Make sure that you restart the computer.

2. - Run HJT again and post the log.

Still somewhat erratic. Short time ago got an ad pop up(this never happens) and it practically froze the system. Sometimes systems seems fine. I suspect perhaps some sort of adware or spyware on there?

Can you pls do the following, in this order

Your Java Runtime Environment is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update:
Updating Java:Go to Start > Control Panel double-click Add or Remove Programs.
Search in the list for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment…. )
It should have next icon next to it: [img]http://users.telenet.be/bluepatchy/miekiemoes/images/javaicon.gif[/img]
Select it and click Remove.
Then Download and install the newest version from here:http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Reboot your Computer

Please download ComboFix by sUBs from HERE or HERE You must download it to and run it from your Desktop
Physically disconnect from the internet.
Now STOP all your monitoring programs (Antivirus/Antispyware, Guards and Shields) as they could easily interfere with ComboFix.
Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When finished, it will produce a log. Please save that log to post in your next reply along with a fresh HJT log
Note:
Do not mouse-click combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.

System performance was getting worse today.Initially , everything seemed to be running okay, but then late in the day was getting slower, then almost totally froze up. System just hung for 10 minutes. Sounded like the drive was running and running. Then became functional again. It's very odd.
