Go to Start | Run and type in sfc /scannow and hit the Ok button. Insert your CD if/when requested.
Did you attempt this?

What is telling you there is a bios problem?

How are you at flashing your bios?

Can turn your pc into a doorstop if it goes wrong.

I have not attempted this, and what is flashing bios?

My computer will ultimately be burned viking style, no doors need stopping.

When you update the bios for such things as when you upgrade the cpu, or have corrupted bios (which may be your case).
