computer very slow

Moved to the Virus forum, all hijackthis logs are to be posted in this forum

Go to Add/Remove Programs in your Control Panel and remove (if found):
WeatherBug

Scan with HJT and have it fix the following entries:

Reboot into Safe Mode

Search for WeatherBug and Weather.exe and delete all instances found

Go to:
C:\Program Files and delete the MarketBrowser folder
C:\WINDOWS\web and delete related.htm

Reboot normally

Download the Hoster from here:
http://members.aol.com/toadbee/hoster.zip
Run Hoster and press Restore Original Hosts, OK, and Exit Program

Reboot

Close all windows, scan with HJT, and post a new log please.

Make sure ALL instances of Internet Explorer are closed and have hijackthis fix these;

You will then need to reboot and rescan with hijackthis. If the above entries are gone, you should be ok.

The srch hp entries use overture for searching. They have connections with Gator.

sorry, I lied.......the computer is still lagging, it takes forever for outlook express to open to get email ..this HP computer was purchased at walmart..do you think that has anything to do with it being so slow? I am running norton disk doctor ..the disk check, plus I have done another hijack log, if it helps.......

do ALT+CTRL+DEL .processes and see if any process is using all or most of the CPU , if system idel is at 99 its all right
