Internet gets redirected to Page cannot be displayed

Expand Post »
I mistakenly downloaded a peice of software that was full of bad things like win Anti Virus earlier today. Once i realised this i ran SuperAntiSpyware which seemed to get rid of most of the problems but now when i load up internet explorer i get the message that 'action was cancelled' and at the bottom i can see the name of a process come up for a split second that definitely contains the word system32 but i cant make out the rest as it only appears for a very short time. this leads me to beleive that it is being redirected by something bad that is still there. I can go to other web pages by typing in the address bar and they work but after a few minutes i always get the message 'Page cannot be displayed'this means i effectively can't use the internet and is really hurting me as i have exams on monday and the internet is vital to my work please can someone help! Here is my hijack this log:

* Download the update from here if you have problems.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
* Post the log back here.

The log can also be found here:

Thank you so much for helping me!
No worries .
Your log is clean, but there are a couple of things I would like you to do.
Once you have done them, post back and let me know how your pc is.

==

Can you please do the following.

===============

Programs like SUPERAntiSpyware, may interfere with the following fix, so we need to temporarily disable it.
  • Right-click on the SUPERAntiSpyware icon in the system tray.
  • Choose View Control Center... "Preferences/options" button/tab.
  • On the General and Startup...tab, uncheck, "Start SUPERAntiSpyware when Windows starts"
  • click Close to exit.

Don't forget to enable your SUPERAntiSpyware protection, when your computer is clean.

===============

Scan with HijackThis and then place a check next to all the following, if present:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

Now, close all instances of Internet Explorer and any other windows you have open except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".

===============
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on the Software icon > add/remove programs.
  • Search in the list for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... )
  • Select it and click Remove.
  • Then Download and install the newest version from here:
  • http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
