Is it a virus that is not allowing me to run updates in Norton Antivirus?

Expand Post »
I downloaded the Ad-aware,and the ie-spyad, and I cleaned all I could, but I'm still having problems. I can't do any updates with the Norton Antivirus so I'm not protected. What can I do to recover it? I contacted Norton and they have not responded. I get these adult messages which I block but I keep receiving them I do not want to receive anything like this. Can you suggest how to get rid of these offensive messages? Thanks. I appreciate all you can do for me. Sincerely, annamarie:cry:

Have a look at this thread, http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/thread5690.html

Then, get HijackThis from here:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/

Close all browser windows, 'Scan and Save Log' with hijackthis, copy and paste the log here in this thread.
