First of all we have to remove Newdotnet, either from add/remove programs, or by going here and scrolling down to the uninstall tool.

Scan with hijackthis and tick the boxes next to all the following entries, then close all browser and explorer windows and hit the "Fix checked" button.

Plus some programs like to open on startup, yet, they do not appear in my starter program or msconfig. How is this and how can I prevent them from opening on startup?

Maybe... Like I mentioned there is one thing I just cannot get rid of. I don't know what it is but it appears in the ctrl+alt+delete window as Fcqhsrk and I cannot prevent this from starting on startup, it doesn't appear in msconfig or Starter.
