Re: dumprep 0 -u issues

May as well let the one in msconfig run, reboot and then uncheck them again.

Go to system properties (right click MyComputer > properties) > Advanced tab > under startup and recovery click settings > under System failure make sure "Write an event to the system log" is checked AND that "Automatically restart" is UNchecked. Then under *write debugging info* select (none) > Click "OK" and reboot.

Your PC should not give those messages then.

Hey man whats up , yeah i did everything like you said to a T and rebooted but i the " ssystem configuration utility window " stil popped up.. i noticed theres an option to check off " SCU window" upon started soo i check it off.. and it load up fine .

just wanna check to see if this is right in msconfig... my comp used to boot up under " normal start up , now under general " selective start up " is checked , and in my start up " i can see still see that " dumprep 0- u" but just 1 and its not checked, is this right?

another question my computer used to boot up real fast.. but since i got this dumprep thing... ive noticed some of the icons on my desktip(which is like 5 )takes a while to load , same with the ones in C drive does this have anything to do with the uncheck ' dumprep, in misconfig ?

thanks crunchie

I don't thinks so, but you can try deleting them and create new ones, The more icons you have on the desktop, the longer it takes to load.
