Just a thought - I'm new here, but I think you may not be getting responses because you have to post Hijack This files in the Viruses/Nasties section??:

Before continuing with the below steps, extract the HijackThis to a dedicated folder ( for example, C:\HJT\hijackthis.exe ), otherwise the fix may not work properly.

Next, uninstall Wild Tangent using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.

Please print these instructions out for use in Safe Mode.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files
This will create a VundoFix folder on your desktop.
After the files are extracted, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
You will first be presented with a warning and a list of forums to seek help at.
it should look like this

Finally, my Microsoft Antispyware Beta, found the Winfix and removed it. It has not popped back up, but my computer is still freezing.
Should I still go ahead with your instructions?

Here is the log and winfix is back and driving me and my computer nuts. I tried going through your directions but since Microsoft Antispyware thinks it removed it, it blocks me when I click on Kill Vundobat.

I just went through the steps. I have not run CleanUp because it says you should back-up your files. If I need to do so, I need to get an external hard-drive. Anyway, Finfix, just popped up!. I emptied the recycle bin, deleted cookies and the temp. internet files, and history.
Here's my hijack log so far (even tho you wanted me to do the CleanUp and ActiveScan first).

Here are the WinPFind.exe and Hijackthis logs. I couldn't close some windows as per your instructions. This is the best I got.

WARNING: not all files found by this scanner are bad. Consult with a knowledgable person before proceeding.

If you see a message in the titlebar saying "Not responding..." you can ignore it. Windows somethimes displays this message due to the high volume of disk I/O. As long as the hard disk light is flashing, the program is still working properly.

Hi,
Open a new file in NotePad, and copy the contents of the below "Quote" box:-

Go to File Menu (in NotePad) > Save As and type the filename as Test.BAT and save it.

Open a new empty file in NotePad, and copy the contents of the below "Quote" box:-

Go to File Menu (in NotePad) > Save As and type the filename as Fix.REG and save the file. Exit from NotePad.
-----------------------------------------------------------

Download TrojanHunter and install it. Run TrojanHunter, go to Tools > Process Viewer. This opens up the Process Viewer window.

Here, expand the winlogon.exe process by clicking the "+" sign beside it. Here in the expanded list, look for every instances of these files:-

dllsrv.dll
vrslld.dll
vrslld.bak
vrslld.ini
vrslld.*
( <--Any other extension )

If these files are found, then right-click on EACH of them and click "Unload Module".

Next, expand the Explorer.exe process by clicking the "+" sign beside it. Similarly, here also locate EVERY instances of the above mentioned files and Unload them if found.

After this close ProcessViewer. Then in the main window of TrojanHunter, select all the Hard Disk partitions. Click "Full Scan" and remove any trojans it may find.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Next run HijackThis and place a check beside each of the following:-

O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - {827DC836-DD9F-4A68-A602-5812EB50A834} - C:\WINDOWS\Cursors\dllsrv.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: dllsrv - C:\WINDOWS\Cursors\dllsrv.dll

Close all other programs, and now click Fix Checked in HijackThis.
-----------------------------------------------------

Double-click on Test.BAT file, a DOS type window should open and close by itself.

Double-click on Fix.REG and click "Yes" to merge it to Registry.

Restart the PC.
------------------------------------------------------

Download WinPFind.ZIP and completely extract it to a folder. Then run WinPFind.exe and click "Start Scan". When the scan completes, click "Copy to Clipboard" button to copy the log it gives, and please post it here along with a fresh HijackThis log.
