hacktool.rootkit virus

hey, this hacktool.rootkit virus has infected my computer and is specifically in my remon.sys file in my system32 folder, I have tried following the steps norton has given to delete the file and I can get rid of it in safe mode but as soon as I reboot in normal it is back, please help. I've attached a hijack this log file below:

Can you please do the following.

Open a command prompt by:

1. Clicking "Start", then "Run...".
2. Enter "cmd" (without the quotes).
3. Enter "services.msc" (without the quotes).

Now, locate and 'stop' the following services, if present:

nvidGUIv (nvidGUIv2) ... (C:\WINDOWS\nvidGUIv.exe)

Look carefully, since the name of the service (above) can be anywhere in the entry; also be careful not to 'stop' any required system services. Once stopped, set this service to disabled.

Run HiJackThis then:

1. Click "Open the Misc Tools Section"
2. Click "Open Process manager"

Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate (if present) and click on (highlight) each of the following:

C:\WINDOWS\nvidGUIv.exe

Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click "Kill process". Now, click "Refresh", check again, and repeat this step if any remain.

Now, close all instances of Internet Explorer and any other windows you have open except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".

I found the process in services but it will not allow me to stop the process, it reads that it has started but when I right click, the selection stop is not available. should i continue with the rest of the steps anywyas?

Yes, try the rest of the steps then see if you can delete the file.

windows will not let me kill C:\WINDOWS\nvidGUIv.exe, it says it's a system process and in use by another program

Download the Pocket KillBox
Unzip the file to your desktop.
Run Pocket Killbox and paste the full file path of the below file in the box and click on Standard File Kill and End Explorer Shell While Killing File. Click on the button with the red circle and an X in the middle after you the file.

C:\WINDOWS\nvidGUIv.exe

Reboot afterwards if the file is successfully deleted.

If the file is not deleted, do not reboot yet. Run Pocket Killbox again and paste the full file path in the box and click on Delete on Reboot. Next click on the button with the red circle and an X in the middle. You will get a message saying "File with be deleted on next reboot, Process and Reboot now?" Click "Yes" to reboot.

Post another hijackthis log.

Can you please do the following.

Open a command prompt by:

1. Clicking "Start", then "Run...".
2. Enter "cmd" (without the quotes).
3. Enter "services.msc" (without the quotes).

Now, locate and 'stop' the following services, if present:

DLL Manager (mswindll) owner ... (C:\WINDOWS\mswindll32.exe)

Look carefully, since the name of the service (above) can be anywhere in the entry; also be careful not to 'stop' any required system services. Once stopped, set this service to disabled.

Run HiJackThis then:

1. Click "Open the Misc Tools Section"
2. Click "Open Process manager"

Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate (if present) and click on (highlight) each of the following:

C:\WINDOWS\mswindll32.exe

Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click "Kill process". Now, click "Refresh", check again, and repeat this step if any remain.

Well I haven't crashed yet today so all seems to be good. Although anything to do with C:\WINDOWS\mswindll32.exe I didn't do because that file and program was nowhere to be found. I think I may have deleted it with norton some time in the past few days. But all seems to be working well now, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! below is a Hijack this log file:
