Please help!

I’m having a huge problem with my laptop at the moment and I’m convinced its spyware or even worse a virus. I have two PC’s that seem to be suffering from both the exact same problem. Basically I’m getting intermittent “Page Cannot Be Displayed or pages loading up but with errors on page, for example, Ebay showing only the most basic of HTML and very little else – as if it were a low bandwidth version of their site. Then without warning it will suddenly jump back to life (although the error on page problem appears to be more consistent). I’m running Norton Anti Virus, I’ve scanned with Adaware but still no joy. Help!!!

If ya recognize the O16 entries, and know that's not the problem, then ya don't have to fix them.

Next, after this, reboot the computer. After rebooting, install CCleaner and Ewido (both links are in my signature below). After installing them, be sure to update their definitions, and run scans for both. After the scans, post the Ewido log along with a new HJT log.

Lastly, are ya still having problems after this all?

Please help, I have repeatedly gotten the blue screen of death and everytime I do a virus scan it finds web p2p here is my hijackthis log:

Please start your own thread instead of posting your question in someone elses thread who is requesting help. :)

Also - that is not a full HijackThis log, that is only running processes.
Choose Scan and save a log file and then attach the whole notepad here in your own thread.

Thanks, jhay116 , some of the Hijack This log makes sense, others I'm not too sure about.

I'll try the apps you've advised this evening, I'm also thinking of installing IE7 Beta (want to stay on I.E for web development purposes).

Just seems odd that if this is spyware, when two PC's are affected exactly the same on my home network. I didnt think spyware spread like viruses do? Unless we've both been unlucky!

Yes I do mate. I assumed that would be ok to leave.

Yes it's more than likely fine. There is a bug in HijackThis that labels some 023 services as missing when they are not - may not hurt just to check and verify C:\Program.exe is there. :)

Thanks for all the help. I booted back up yesterday and the problem has seemed to gone away. Wondering if maybe the adaware scan I did, plus I deleted my hosts directory resolved the problem but just needed a reboot.

Anyway installed and ran the apps you mentioned, didnt really find anything but cookies, still I dont have the problem anymore so thanks!
