Re: Concering My previous Post (VIRUS WONT GO)

Ok ..... I went out, came back home, cleaned the inside (GENTLY) and i didn't touch any of the boards but got most of the dust off. plugged it all back in (correctly) and turned it on and now I turn it on it boots into windows and the very second i try to click anything it stops doing everything, complealty freezes up. CTRL + ALT + DEL dont work. nothing will except turning the computer off. I cant post another log because i cant do anything on the computer anymore.
Im more than slightly upset by this as I require a computer for working and the one im on atm has serious issues using flash etc which i need to access chat rooms i am paid for moderating.
Please someone help me

Re: Concering My previous Post (VIRUS WONT GO)

Ok, in HJT - tick these entries:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Connection Wizard,ShellNext = wmplayer.exe //ICWLaunch

O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {9239E4EC-C9A6-11D2-A844-00C04F68D538} - (no file)

Other than that, your HJT log looks very clean...

as for Backdoor.prorat try this fix:
  1. Go to the registry editor
  2. Navigate to each of these keys:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
    Policies\Explorer\Run

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{5Y99AE78-58TT-11dW-BE53-Y67078979Y}

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
  3. For each one, in the right pane, if any of the following values are found, delete that value:

    "MSNMESENGER"="%System%\Main.exe"

    "DirectX for Microsoft Windows"="%System%\Fservice.exe"

    "DirectX for Microsoft Windows"="%System%\Sservice.exe"

    "StubPath"="C:\Windows\system\Sservice.exe"
  4. Navigate to the key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
  5. In the right pane, modify the value:

    "Shell"="explorer.exe %System%\Fservice.exe"

    to:

    "Shell"="explorer.exe"
  6. Exit the Registry Editor.
1. Restart computer in safe mode and delete the infected files
  1. Open your Antivirus software
  2. Run a full system scan.
  3. If any files are detected as infected with Backdoor.Prorat, click Delete.
