Anti virus program suggestions?

Expand Post »
I currently am using Norton anti virus and it is about to expire. I have been told that there are better programs out there that can be downloaded for free. Is this true? Any suggestions on where to look? Thanks.

Re: Anti virus program suggestions?

In my opinion it is true. AVG offers the same functions and more for free. Not to mention it doesn't hog resources (or as much at least) as Norton does.

There is also Ewido, does a dang good job (one of my favorites), but it only has a 14 day trial.

AVG Free Anti Virus (Free) - http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1

Ewido (Trial) – www.ewido.net

For a comlete list of programs (both free an not), have a look here: http://www.toughadmin.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23
