whats happening?

I keep getting a generic win32 services has caused an error and needs to close thingy whenever i after i start windows. sometimes it pops up 2 times and sometimes none at all... the weird thing is that if i try to install/download these 2 games (gunbound or maplestory) i get a CRC error and i cant fix it. also, my sound system stopped working for no reason at all... all this just started to happen 2 days ago when i woke up. this is what i get in the generic win32 error:

Faulting application svchost.exe, version 5.1.2600.2180, faulting module advpack.dll, version 6.0.2900.2180, fault address 0x0000562e.

i got that off the event viewer in the administrive tools in the applications log any help?
