IE problem

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered but...
Internet Explorer opens a webpage then immediately turns off. If a blank for homepage is inserted it will stay open until an address is entered, clicked and opened it then shuts down. \
I have tried a couple of scans, a system restore at a date before the problem started and installing IE 7 beta 3.

Any ideas?

It turned out to be a conflict with Yahoo Tool bar. I went to Browser Add ons and disabled all Yahoo stuff. problem gone. I tried deleting Yahoo Tool Bar via the program add/delete function but it wasn't listed.
