First may I say what a friendly helpful site although I still find all these threads and posts confusing as although I have used a computer for some years I am only just getting to grip with forums and online communities.

I have submitted a problem I have and cannot find where I put it so am totally
:confused:
Looking around the site I see that some good people do put things in the correct places so I hope I am not doing to much of a cardinal sin by placing my problem here, as I have trying to work on a solution by reading the forums for the past three days.
If I tell everyone exactly what I've been doing maybe it will help.
I found I could not get onto MSM and Ebay SSL. I could bring up the home pages (still can) but when I try to access my account the page cannot be displayed notice comes up.
I went to Tools - Internet Option - Cleared out cookies history and deleted files.
Still could not get on.
I telephoned my service provider (Blueyonder Telewest) who more or less went through the same thing and the only option they give me was to phone a premium rate number at £1 a minute. I would have actually phoned this number but cannot do so from my phone line as premium rates are blocked. (All these television competition lines have a lot to answer for :!:

Obviously I understand every bit of it (not) :mrgreen: but I know there are some cleaver peeps on here that do

I then downloaded ewido anti spyware and it found quite a lot of nasties but now tells me the problems are fixed (still can't get onto Ebay though).
I then downloaded Firefox to see if that would work but i get the following response

I have phone my ISP again and have been told the best thing would be to reformat my pc (really helpful :rolleyes: )
The other stupid thing I did do was to download IE 7 beta (I thought it might just help) and then I couldn't connect with the internet at all so it wasn't a good idea and more time was spent trying to get IE 6 back (Not recommended :eek: )
I now am at my wits end and my brain really hurts ;) Can anyone please help and have the eternal gratitude of myself, my children and my childrens children (:lol: )
