Re: no bandwidth while connected and unable to disconnect after an error occur.

i don't think so it is related to WLM. as i never use WLM last time. all the way iwas using the previous version of MSN. then recently after the thing occur i using WLM and i does not affects anything after i install or uninstall WLM. but with installed WLM. the problems seems like occur even faster.. the best thing i figured out is in safe mode... the error does not occur.

Re: no bandwidth while connected and unable to disconnect after an error occur.

I have this exact same problem! HijackThis shows nothing suspicious, I've used several online virus checkers, but whenever I restart my computer that error pops up (svchost.exe & netapi32.dll) and shuts down several Windows services, most importantly my sound and Internet.

I've read a few threads about this, and it seems like updating Windows could fix the issue - however, my Windows Automatic Update is constantly stalling, and the Microsoft Update site never stops "checking for the latest updates" either. More than that, it seems like whenever I try to do something related (visit update.microsoft.com, change my Automatic Update settings), the svchost.exe completely freaks out and uses as much memory as possible. What am I supposed to do?

Hi tyranny,

As stated in our posting rules, we ask that members not tag their questions on to a thread previously started by another member (regardless of how similar your problem might seem). Not only does it divert the focus of the thread away from the original poster's problem, but it also makes it less likely that you yourself will get the individual attention that you need.

Please start your own thread and post your question there. When you do, please give us as much specific info as possible regarding the problem (exact error messages, system specs, troubleshooting steps you've already tried, etc.).

For a full description of our posting guidelines and general rules of conduct, please see this page:

Thanks for understanding.

Re: no bandwidth while connected and unable to disconnect after an error occur.

Try using the recovery disk to repair windows. Here are instructions on how to do that.
