Cleaning PC?

Hi. So far, to clean my PC i have been doing the following:

Run CCleaner
Delete all of C:/Windows/Prefetch/
Run Spybot
go through msconfig startup options
add and remove programs - uninstall any suspicious software
restart
check using norton scan

Should this clean most viruses out, or is there anything else that can be done?
