Re: have this checked out please!!!!

Oh joy!! What a collection.
Go here for an on-line scan & set it to autoclean for you.

Download & instal Adaware from here
& update it B4 scanning.
In settings under 'scanning,' have it set to
'scan within archives,'
'scan active processes,'
'scan registry,'
'deepscan registry'
'scan my IE Favourites for banned URL's,'
'scan my host's file.'
In 'tweaks' under 'scanning engine' set it to 'unload recognised processes during scanning.'
Also in 'tweaks' under 'cleaning engine' set it to 'Automatically try to unregister objects prior to deletion' & 'let Windows remove files in use at next reboot.'
Select 'activate in-depth scan' before starting scan.
When the scan is finished select 'next.'
Remove what it finds by placing a check in the box to the left of the object. Reboot

Download & instal Spybot S&D from here Update it B4 scanning. Go into settings & have it check for Beta releases also & download if available.
After the scan is complete, have spybot fix everything marked RED.
On the page that first opens when you start Spybot there is an option to immunise, you should do this. In the immunise section there is also a link to download Spywareblaster. Download that & you can keep it updated by selecting the same link that you use to download it. Reboot

Download CWShredder from here & run it. Select the fix button & it will get rid of everything related to CoolWebSearch in it's database. Close ALL windows, including IE, before running CWShredder.

To help prevent this from happening again, install the patches for the vulnerabilities that this hijacker exploits by going here for your critical updates.

Reboot after doing this & post another log please.

Re: have this checked out please!!!!

I don't understand the question. If you want your computer cleaned up, this is what you HAVE to do. There are three programs there for you to download. Each one will clean up what it finds. You will then have to post a fresh hijackthis log after rebooting so that the remainder can be deleted manually.

Re: have this checked out please!!!!

If it is a zip file you will need a program like WinZip to open it. If you don't have it you will have to download it or redownload Adaware as an exe file. Try this link

You have to explain to me more of what you are talking about. Adaware & spybot are both free programs & do not need to be registered. If you downloaded WinZip, then that is a shareware program & you do not have to purchase it, you just end up getting the nag screen when you first open it. You can continue to use it for free.
What detected 36 problems? Adaware or spybot? If you have run all of the programs I mentioned then can you please post a fresh log for me to view. Thanx.
