All Kinds of Adware and Spyware, Please Help

I have recently had problems with the dpusys icon not leaving my desktop and bridge.dll errors when I turn on my PC. I seem to have fixed them for the time being but I was wondering how many other things were lurking around in my PC. My HijackThis logfile seems riddled with problems but Im no expert so I was wondering if someone could take a look and let me know if I should fix anything. Ive had Ad-Aware and McAfee Virus Protection and Firewall for a while and I run them weekly. Thanks

You are right you do havea lot going on lets start with these programs .

You Have A Variant of the CoolWebSearch Trojan.

Please Download CWShredder from HERE and run the Program in safe mode . Press the "Fix Button" Let it fix all variants. Next, Close the program and all windows and IE windows and run hijackthis and Post a Fresh log.

Reboot to SAFE mode to run swshredder

OK- yeah, you've got quite a few nasties there.

In conjunction with Ad Aware, also run SpyBot (link to download is in my sig below); one of those programs will often catch somehting the other missed. Make sure you have the latest versions and the most current updates for these utilities; new updates can be published almost daily.

Do that and post a fresh log. I've got to log off for a bit, but I or another member will give you more direction shortly.

Ok, I did everything you said. I didnt have a C:\WINDOWS\System32\szchost.exe file but I did see a "svchost.exe". I didnt want to delete that until I saw what you said so thats still there. As for that darn sysupd.exe file I can fix the line in HijackThis but it keeps showing up, I can end the process in the task manager but it pops back back up there 2 seconds later, and since the process is running constantly it wont let me delete the file itself in the WINDOWS folder. Thats one persistant file :evil: . Anyway my HijackThis scan looks a lot better though.

Ok. Do it this way. Fix this O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SysUpd] C:\WINDOWS\sysupd.exe with hijackthis then Reboot into safe mode following the instructions here & delete this

C:\WINDOWS\sysupd.exe<<<<

Oh, good job you never deleted the svchost.exe file, you might have had a little trouble after .
