yahoo mail and others ok but not hotmail or msn page not found dns error

Hello,
I am new to this and have read many of the items here about Cannot find server, DNS error and other spyware items.
I have run AdAware and cleaned and I do need to get the hijackthis and run it also.
But the main problem I have is I can get to yahoo mail, excite mail and browse but if I try hotmail after entering my user addy and password it recieved Cannot find server, DNS error, page. I have 2 accounts on hotmail and a friends account we tested on msn and all three get the same result.
Any clue?
Oh XP home (not sure of the SP) IE6

First of all try clearing out your temp internet files & also your cookies in IE. Also, try opening a new account & see if you can get in that way.
