about:blank hijack

Can someone please help me fix this? My IE home page keeps getting set to "about:blank" and I keep getting a commercial search page. I've always had good luck fixing these things before, but this one is pretty hairy.

Please Download CWShredder from HERE and run the Program in safe mode . Press the "Fix Button" Let it fix all variants. Next, Close the program and all windows and IE windows and run hijackthis and Post a Fresh log.

Reboot to SAFE mode to run swshredder

Yes, I have run both Spybot and AdAware 6 Personal, Build 6.181.

Okay, I rebooted to safe mode and ran CWShredder again, which didn't find anything. I rebooted normally and here is my new HijackThis log.

Perhaps this is a foregone conclusion, but I guess I should also say that my computer has gotten INCREDIBLY slow since this thing took over. My hard drive is running constantly and my swap files keep getting too large. It takes forever for my browser to load.

Download dllfix from the following link.
http://tools.zerosrealm.com/dllfix.exe

Create a folder on your desktop, doubleclick on the dllfix and install it into the folder you just created.
1.Run start.bat and press option 1. 'output.txt' will be created in the folder. Post the results of the log here, with another HJT log.

That file no longer exists on that website. I followed the directions as listed. All my processes seem to be in order (Step 4). When I ran "services.msc" I did not have "Network Security Service" in the list that came up (Steps 6 and 7), so I'm assuming my HijackThis file will remain the same. I'm going to reboot in safe mode and run another virus scan and see what happens.

I checked my registry and the values that he listed are not there, so I'm assuming I'm okay (Steps 11 and 12). I'll post another HijackThis log after I've run my virus scans again.

Reboot into safe mode following the instructions here & navigate to & delete the following:

C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp< folder contents

In order to view these files you may have to select 'show hidden files/folders.' Instructions on how to here.

Unzip HJT into it's own permanent folder before doing anything in order for it to create backups. (Not a temporary folder or directly on the desktop & not directly on your hard drive). Close all (browser) windows & rescan with hijackthis. When the scan is finished place a check in the box to the left of the following entries & click 'fix checked' :
