I'm not exactly sure what the problem is... are you experiencing any ill effects or is it just that you get the annoying warning that interrupts the normal bootup sequence? Let's assume (unless you tell us otherwise) that you just want to eliminate the pesky warning message...

So of course the first thing is to identify which program running at startup uses the kmggucmt.dll library. When we want to identify an executable or library we go to one of the startup databases and do a query... if it's been seen before, someone in the community will probably have made an entry. I use

www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups

I queried for your lost file and there was no entry. So the question still is what program needs this file. The fact that it is missing makes me suspect that you've probably used some tool like HijackThis! to inadvertently remove it... Or perhaps you tried to remove an old installed software package (like for a printer you no longer use) and the uninstall was only partially successful... who knows? However it ended up like that we still need to identify its owner.

So the next step is to narrow down the search. You could just start blasting things one by one to see what makes it go away, but we can probably be a little smarter than that. My gut instinct is that it is somehow associated with some internet acquired vermin. HijackThis! does a great job of uncovering what to look for, but there is a slightly "better" tool out there that I'd like you to run.

Google "security task manager" and download the program. When you run it, it gives a prioritized list of all the crap that's running (or enabled to run) on your system. The things at the top and in red are usually obnoxious vermin that need to be removed. BUT BE CAREFUL! Some of these can be drivers or other useful stuff and removing them can cause even more problems. Before removing anything, go out to the startup database and look it up. If you're not sure, post back here and someone can help you out. (This also good advice for HijackThis! entries.)

The strategy here is to remove all the baddies before sifting through the legitimate things that are running on your system. Try that and let us know how it goes.

If that doesn't work we'll have to start looking at your O4 and O23 log entries...

hi just wanna say thank u........
i used the registry and found the location of c:\windows\system32\kmggucmt.dll and scan it with my anti virus, not being any harm to my computer i run msconfig - i went to startup and took of all the programs that dont need to be run on the startup - i then un highlighted this file and no more message is now coming up..............................
