Download Rustbfix from one of these locations:

...and save it to your desktop.

Double click on rustbfix.exe to run the tool. If a Rustock.b-infection is found, you will shortly hereafter be asked to reboot the computer. The reboot will probably take quite a while, and perhaps 2 reboots will be needed. But this will happen automatically. After the reboot 2 logfiles will open (%root%\avenger.txt & %root%\rustbfix\pelog.txt). Post the content of these logfiles.

Download HijackThis from here. Download it to your desktop and NOT a temporary folder.
Start HJT & press the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. When the scan is finished a window will pop up giving you the option of where to save it. Save it to desktop where it is easy to access. Open the log file and copy the entire contents of the file & paste it into the body of your post. DO NOT FIX ANYTHING YET. Most of what is there is necessary for the running of your system.

OK! THANK YOU! I am finally able to start up in normal mode. However I now have two problems
1. I don't have the Start bar across the bottom of my desktop. You know, that bar that has START and all the icons that tell you what you are running. That is gone. I have to close by ctrl+alt+delete
2. My screen is kind of strangely "wavy". Like a TV with the slightest bit of interference. Maybe that is just a coincidence with my NVIDIA display driver and the virus.
And even when I displayed the hidden files I did not find a sysvx file or the other two you listed in your previous post. However, I did not get the message "windows cannot find sysvx.exe" this time when the computer restarted. YES!

I got my task bar back!! I went to the Task Manager and Ended the explorer.exe process, restarted and there it is. Now I'm not even sure if my screen is flickering or if I am just tired. THANK YOU for all your help. I think things are ok...

Viewpoint Manager is considered to be foistware, rather than malware, since it is installed without users approval, but doesn't spy or do anything "bad". Please read this article: http://www.clickz.com/news/article.php/3561546
I suggest that you remove the program. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs if present.
Viewpoint
Viewpoint Manager
Viewpoint Media Player

Other than that, I reckon you should be good to go.
