Michelle, it appears that you do have a vundo infection, or traces of one, so please rename hijackthis.exe to imabunny.exe - this is important.

Restart your system in Safe Mode. *****!!
Double-click VundoFix.exe to start it. Click the Scan for Vundo button.
When the scan completes click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files - click YES
Your desktop will then go blank as the process of removing Vundo starts.
When completed it will prompt that it will restart your computer - click OK.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.
***If Vundofix reports that it could not delete a file, rerun it until it does.

The .Dll files were a pita to remove btw had to be in safe mode for one and had to have special permissions for another.

thanks so much hope this does it for me but things still seem a bit sluggish. O yeah I'm getting an error pop up for the vtut.dll being missing should I delete the bho?

You are not clear yet, Michelle, Vundo detected C:\Windows\system32\vtuvt.dll but could not delete it [did you successfully delete it manually? .. please check..], and one of those entries I asked you earlier to fix has been regenerated. So something else is there.... and it is possibly C:\Windows\system32\xsaxvmot.dll

= Delete C:\vundofix.txt

Start AVG a-s 7.5;
-under Scanner/ Settings please change the default action from Recommended Actions to QUARANTINE, and run the complete system scan.
-press Apply all Actions and Save the log file. Post the log file.
Okay. please post all those logs, plus a fresh hijackthis run in Normal Mode, and your comments..

Just a note, those two O4 entries, UpdReg and Ecenter are just annoying prompts to register software, they are not malware.

I was able to delete the vtuvt.dll when instructed it just took some doing, I'm still feeling my way around Vista . I can't seem to find the xsaxvmot.dll in safe mode and doesn't seem to be there in normal either. Maybe Mc Affee found it this morning I didnt get to see the scan results. Somethings still not right though ( that feeling you get when your sweet little machine just aint right) boot up is extremely slow and getting another error popup. Again thanks so much for taking the time with me on this nasty little bug. You're a lifesaver.

Just wanted to add I have been running several other removal tools and Spybot has removed Virtumondo 3 times from the registry. A recent scan just got rid of what Spybot claimed was a major trojan in my win/sys32 folder. Dummy me forgot to write it down and I can't find it in the logfiles. I will run another scan in an hour or so and see what happens.

Michelle, that O2 entry, O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C6039E6C-BDE9-4de5-BB40-768CAA584FDC} - C:\Windows\system32\[xsaxvmot.dll] does not show up... to find the file itself manually would be tough cos it appears to be from a new family of pests - it changes its name upon every boot. AVG seems to have got it.
Fix that O13 - Gopher Prefix: entry, and remove all entries from AVG's quarantine- the infections tab.
Otherwise, your log shows clean. Come back when you have a more definitive idea of the problem.
