Hi, Dani. Not much on chat for the most part. I'm just trying to find a solution to my sister's computer problem with a start up message that tells her she's missing a "bridge.dll" file. I downloaded Hijackthis and ran it. I saved the report it generated to noteppad and hoped to post it to see if you can help me, but I don't know how to post. So I'm trying this first. How about if I paste it here? I'll try it...

Re: HijackThis

At the top of this forum there is a thread regarding the removal of bridge.dll.
http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/thread7370.html
Having said that, you have other matters that need fixing, so......

Uninstall Bargain Buddy from add/remove programs.

Close all (browser) windows & rescan with hijackthis. When the scan is finished place a check in the box to the left of the following entries & click 'fix checked':

-IEPlugin

Reboot into safe mode following the instructions here & navigate to & delete the following if found:

C:\Program Files\Lycos-folder
C:\PROGRA~1\Bargain Buddy-folder
c:\docume~1\admini~1\locals~1\temp-folder contents
C:\Program Files\ClearSearch-folder
C:\Program Files\Internet Optimizer-folder

C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.dll-file

In order to view these files you may have to select 'show hidden files/folders.' Instructions on how to here.

Reboot normally after doing the above then with all browser windows closed, scan with hijackthis and post a fresh log please.
