My IE is running 20 times slower then usual

ok im running windows xp and i have a wireless router that is generating from my moms in her room. Im running a cable modem and normally i run at about anywhere from 2800 to 3000 kbps but the last 3 days im running a sorry 284 kbps i ran adaware, spyweeper, stinger, norton antivirus hardly anything is coming up and no matter what i clean out my internet is still running this slow...and suggestions???

download hijackthis 1.98.2 from softpedia.com and scan with that. when the scan completes you are probably not know what to do so just hit save log save it as a .txt file and then post the log here in the security forum
