Downloading files in ie6 99%

Hi, I'm having trouble downloading files from ie6, the download dialogue box appears and the download appears to proceed as normal but stops at 99% and freezes. It is the same for all file types such as wav, exe etc...If anyone has any suggetsions it would be very helpful.......Mike
