Problem with windows media player in IE

Expand Post »
I can't seem to be able to play anything on the imbeded windows media player in internet explorer (or firefox for that matter) I'm on a new install of WinXP SP2 and it didn't work when I installed it, didn't work when I reinstalled it, same for rolling it back, botching and reinstalling the player, reinstalling SP2... all failed. All I ever get on a page is a mangled player that looks like this "www.oblong-enterprise.org/mangledplayer.jpg"

I hope someone can help me out.

Re: Problem with windows media player in IE

I am having the same problem, although my player doesn't look all weird like that. The page will load and then I get a black window with no video on websites only. I have XP SP2 with WMP 10 (it did the same thing with 9).

Please help, I have to login to a secondary profile just to watch video!
