Erasing Ebay/lycos search bar history

Hi,

I have erased all I can figure out to erase to get rid of all the search titles stored on the ebay (on site) and lycos search bars. They are annoying to deal with when I want to search for something and they keep popping up with all the past search options. How do I get rid of this problem?
