Expand Post »
Hello 1st post on here please go easy....

I need to stop users downloading or running files from the Internet.

I have found a setting that stops users from selecting the download directory NoSelectDownloadDir

I just need a setting that stops users from running the file from the internet please?

Windows XP Pro with IE6:-|

Thanks in advance.

Re: Disabling downloading files

Meany!

If you are the system administrator, you can set up a different user account for each user, each with its own password (and also a password for yourself). You can then set the firewall settings (security) on IE and the computer, and lock them so the users can't change them. You can even have different settings for each user.
