Explorer Encoding

Expand Post »
When going to certain sites, CBS, Netflix and so on I get boxes with red x's in them and no pictures. If i go to the ToolBar View and Encoding and select either Western European (Windows) or Unicode UTF-8 I then get pictures. These selections have to be made every time I go to these sites, the selection I make in the Encoding area doesn't hold. How can I get the Encoding selection of Western European (Windows) or Unicode UTF-8 to hold? The UTF-8 may not be correct I didn't write it down but it is U?F-8.

Thanks

Re: Explorer Encoding

Went to the Internet options, advanced, checked show pictures box..it's checked. Problem still exist. Tried using other browsers and I still have to click View, Encoding and either Western European Windows or Unicode UTF-8 before pictures come up in the boxes. These selections won't hold when I go to other sites. I spent four hours on the phone with the Explorer Tech and they still couldn't solve this problem. Maybe it's an unsolveable problem. I'm willing to try any advice for a solution you can give me. I'm really getting frustrated with the problem.

Re: Explorer Encoding

I agree but, the simple fix is what I have posted but, like caper said it is spyware so that fix will not do it fully.
