invalid file size?

plz how to resolve this error.every time i wanna install anything from the web it givs me this error beside the download is not yet completed and it states that it has been completed and after that if i install it t givs me this eroe that invalid file/package size???
what to do??

Is this for everything you download !
Also what are you downloading and from where ,post a liink to a download that went wrong ,if you wish ! i will check it out

At one point in time I remember a virus that attacked all downloads ...

Have you done a scan recently?

For some reason it did not do anything to uploads...

If you have an account on yahoo or another onlne mail server can you send a file to anyone through it , save a copy and try to download the same file back...

This is just one possibility that comes to mind

If you usr IRC there may be a tie to that...
If it is only IRC then try a different program to access it...
