windows protection error

Hello, I am trying to install windows 98 on a new p4 3.2ghz system and keep getting a error. It goes like this: While initializing device NDIS windows protection error. Windows did load but every time I try to restart it, it comes up with that error and won't go any futher. Can you help me. Thanks Eric
