Help our computer is running soooo sloooowww

We have a HP Pavillion computer with a non pavillion hard drive (our first hard drive burned and crashed). We have WinMe on it and tons of other stuff we have acquired. I want to know how to erase the hard drive and start fresh.

popin your restore disk, however you will lose everythiung you have currently if you do not back it up
