Internet Explorer Freezes when using a search engine

Hey, When i type something into a search engine(also happens with the Google Toolbar) , i have tried google.com and yahoo.com, the internet explorer screen freezes and then the whole computer. the only way to fix it is to use task manager to end the program.
Btw when i search microsoft.com searching works OK also works ok if i use the search icon on the toolbar (which is powered by google)
No one has posted to this discussion for at least three months. Please let old threads die and do not reply to them unless you feel you have something new and valuable to contribute that absolutely must be added to make the discussion complete.
