is this possible

Expand Post »
i was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is possible to change the icons of windows 98 SE like you can ME and up. i have made shortcuts and changed them but that didn't work to well i managed getting rid of the arrow which makes it a little bit better but there are still problems. ie. when you click browse and try navigating to the folder it won't work because the shortcut isn't the folder.

Re: is this possible

You should be able to. Just right click on the shortcut and select properties. On the first or second tab there should be a change icon button - click that. It then presents you with a selection and a browse button so you can pick another .ico file from your HD. Once you've found what you want, click on OK, Apply and then the OK button on the property page.
