Mouse becomes slow

Every so often my mouse will just become really slow.
i go into control panel and printers and other hardware but it shows
no mouse options.
how do i fix this?

Also if i search hijackthis on any search engine
my whole internet just closes

just when you search for hijackthis or search for anything .,a slow mouse is an indication of a slow computer not really a mouse problem ,usually ,did you run spyware /virus scan of any sort .

i am about to run a virus scan right now

and its just hijackthis
not anything else

Direct Link to HJT . What browser are you using and have you tried Firefox / Opera? Have you tried Spybot or AdAware? What antivirus are you using?

*Edit: When your mouse slows down, open up Task Manager and look at 'Processes' and then click on 'CPU' twice (biggest numbers should then be at top) and see what's burning the most resources.

I was going to use avast
should i use spybot or adaware instead?

Spybot and AdAware search for different types of things than a typical antivirus, so you should use avast AND spybot or adaware (or all 3).
