!!!!!!!!startup failure-registry error!!!!!!!!!

Expand Post »
Hey guys
I have a machine thats on a network and whenever I try to log in it does the logon process but comes right back to the welcome screen.the read it gives is:
"starting windows..."
"logging of"
I strongly believe that the problem lies within the registry since I've changed the drive letter inside my registry without backing my registry(I know its crazy)

So without being able to get inside windows(Ive tried safe mode as well),is there a way to fix the error without having to reinstall windows.

Thanx for the help

Re: !!!!!!!!startup failure-registry error!!!!!!!!!

You can boot off the XP disc and get into the recovery console and repair the registry this way.
