Expand Post »
Whats happenin people,

I currently picked up a new laptop and I am trying to set up my previous pc as a server so I can go into the files anywhere in the house. But I dont know how to set it up using a domain and I also need to knwo the simple process of creating a server directory (ie x:\\server\share)

Any help is very much appreciated

Thanks

Re: Using XP and trying to set up server...

directory server is not a file server. what you are talking about is simple file sharing in a home network, no domain needed.

caperjack gave you the right link. or you can google up "windows+xp+file+sharing"
