Router Question

Will switching off a router or a modem/router reset its settings? I'm not sure if I can turn it off but it's getting a bit hot now because it's been running for more than 24 hours. Please give me answers. Thank you..

It may depend on the router, but generally turning off a wireless router should give you no problems with settings!

generally it keeps for a day or so

and routers are meant to get hot. thats why they run 24/7

Thats right a router should not need to be turned off to cool down but if you do, i'd be careful because any forwarded ports and that sort of thing will be reset.

Well, they do on all the routers ive used.
