Stop Error Problem

Please somebody help.
I have COMPAQ Computer running Windows xp which untill today was okay.
Now what happend is that.
Today when i booted my computer i got a STOP ERROR c0021a{Fatat System Error}.
The session Manager Initialization System process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000022(0x00000000 0x00000000)
The system has been shut down.

Then I tempted to start it using safe mode but i could not start it, then i tried the Last known good configuration option i again failed
after that i moved on to Fresh Installation of windows xp because i am not well versed with Recovery option.
However i find it is not a good approach that why i want your heps.
thaks.

I just worked on a Compaq a few days ago, not realizing what I was getting myself into. What a headache those things are.
Turns out, by opening the fron plastic panel, where CD's can be stashed, you get extra info on the model type. Now you can find the exact drivers needed from the HP site. Also, it gave some tips for BIOS settings that helped out.
If the post above is not the solution, maybe try looking at your BIOS (F10 while booting).
