Re: Need big help

my opinion, get use to vista ,you will enjoy you laptop more .

anyway you will need sata driver for the motherboard for winxp ,where you find them i don't know .toshiba site maybe if there are any .
you will need them on a floppy disk, and hit f6 when running xp setup to install them

you might start your search hare .although a quick look i didn't see anything .

Re: Need big help

If you have a PC and the original Windows XP setup disk then I advise you to slipstream SP2 and driverpacks. Burn the ISO and reinstall XP again on the laptop. The driverpack covers over 98% of satadrives and you can also add LAN, graphics, chipset, wlan and other drivers . Basically it'll save you time if its all there.

DPsBASE is the utility I used to merge the driverpacks.

Send me and email and I'll forward you the tutorial link. kardzzz@yahoo.co.uk
