Exchange 2000 delivers same messages over and over

Expand Post »
The mail server at my company is Exchange 2000. Most people are using Outlook 2000 or XP. My boss complained yesterday that his mail delivery was hanging at 50%. He re-booted his computer and suddenly received over 500 messages, all of which he'd received over the past few months. This morning when he turned his computer on the same thing happened. He is the only one in the company experiencing this problem.
Any ideas?? please help!!

Re: Exchange 2000 delivers same messages over and over

Hello,

Perhaps a corrupt mailbox or a corrupt user in the mail box. I don't remember enough about exchange to tell you where to go or what tools, but I would look at Database repair.

If after a repair new messages keep arriving in duplicate, there might be a mail loop involved.
