Windows XP Problems

Expand Post »
Two of my machines were recently attacked by a virus, which required me to format the machines. After formating i reloaded Windows XP, but the machines no longer have any sound, and i have devices with yellow question marks, PCI Simple Communication Controller, Video Controller (VGA Compatible), PCI Device, Ethernet Controller and Unknown. I ran Service Pack 2 but the problem still remain.

Any solution/suggestions would be welcome.

Re: Windows XP Problems

At the top of this thread is a post called "Reformatting Hard Drive & Reinstalling XP".

Please read it very carefully, especially the parts that mention device drivers.

Re: Windows XP Problems

You need to download and install your drivers from your manufacturers sites
