Hey guys i was dual booting XP and Vista, then decided to delete the Vista Partition to get rid of it. Boot when i boot my PC the boot record is still giving me the Vista Option. When i click on vista it says it's missing. My question is, how can i completely get rid of the dual boot screen and boot up into XP normally again.
use it to configure the Bootloader and install it by using "fixboot" and "bootcfg" (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291980). Cant rember which one you need to do first, if it matters,.

go start-control panel
go to classic view
go system, advanced tab.
click the startup and recovery-settings button.
click the edit button.
one of the bottom two lines will say vista, somewhere. delete the line you want to get rid of. ONLY DELETE THIS LINE!!!! or your whole system will crash. but it is safe to delete this line.
