"Entire network" unpopulated

Suddenly out of the blue nothing was listed in "my network/entire network/

"net view" returned nothing in list

Old links in "my network" were still there and operable, computers on the domain (win2k) could be pinged but not very much else.
I am running XP SP1 workstation, at home on a peer to peer network with mixed Linux win2k and XP same result.

An idea anyone?
