can't run max payne 2

Hello.I have just successfully installed max payne 2 and replaced the crack file.I have checked the documentation and it says it " will have a little bit of problem for Nvidia Riva Tnt2 graphics cards but the game can run with a graphics card like that." I installed the game in D drive and there's automatically a folder created in program files.I installed the xp display drivers for nvdia but even then when I try to launch the game,the message pops up and says Max Payne 2 requires microsoft directx 9.0 or later...is there any location from where I should download direct x 9.0 ? I really don't know how these things work...

Usually games come with their own required version of DX, but if you didnt have an option to install it, download and install from the official microsoft page:

does this forum support/recommend use of pirated software :-?
