HELP!PC wont start up

I really have a problem with my pc, when i try to on it, it wont boot past the hard drive, PSU fan spins. but thats it. but SOMETIMES, it ons! i really have no ideas wads wrong. Had resetted BIOs, changed RAM. still the same problem.

PLEASE HELP!

AMD athlon(tm) 64 Processor
3500+
2.21GHz,1.46 of RAM

Do you mean you can't boot from your hard drive?

Try a linux live CD to test the rest of your components.

If you can't get a hold of a live cd of linux, then just download the S.M.A.R.T. tests and put them on a CD and boot to test out your motherboard. It seems that your mobo is going bad.

i may be wrong or you may be talking about some thing else but s.m.a.r.t test is for testing harddrives
