problem w/installing kazaa v.2.6

I was installing kazaa 2.6 into my computer when this message appears: Error opening file for writing:C:/ProgramFiles/CommonFiles/Keenware/wupdater.exe I hit retry several times,with no luck,just the same message.So I ignore the file and it completes the installation.Then when I log off windows, I have to re-install kazaa whenever I log back on, like it was never installed to begin with. Any ideas as to what can help me out?

Kazaa is chock-full of adware, of which wupdater.exe is part-and-parcel. Uninstall it, then use an adware stomper like Spybot - Search & Destroy or Ad-aware to remove all traces.

Then try Kazaa Lite, which is adware-free, instead.

There is program here called Kazaa begone ,run it to remove kazaa and all the sh-t that come with it .

Or ,I also have a Dummy clint.Dll file that makes the full kazaa work after you use Ad=Aware or spybot to remove all the garpage and the clint.dll,that comes with the full version .

I install winzip and made a zip file of the dummy clint and it let me attach it here .
NOTE: this file is for the older full Kazaa ,you run ad-aware or spybot and it will remove the clint .dll spyware . and make Kazaa un useable ,then just on zip this file and copy it to the Kazaa folder .

I downloaded the clint.zip and added it to the kazaa folder but i still get the same message. What do i do?

did you unzip it first !!

yes I unzipped it and then pasted unzipped file in the kazaa folder. I also restarted my computer to see if it would work, but no luck.

jmetl669 this is one area i do know about (i live on klite) dont bother with the legal kazaa it is full of crap as the other chaps have mentioned. i now have kazaalite resurection which is still in development but it rocks. the kazaa lite 2.6 which is the program i think youre trying to install is an illegal version (as kazaa lite is apart from KLR) so you need to download kazaa.exe and magnet.exe as these are not included in the setup for legal reasons. but if i were you id go for kazaa lite resurrection

why not try kazaa lite resurrection its the best of the best.it is so much better than the clean version.wich is so hard to install ent way....

Is there any reason why copying clint.dll didn't work? Just incase of future problems.
